Government printing can be split into two categories;
1. General documents. These include books, reports, records, publicity documents etc.
2. Secure documents. These documents have to be controlled in their distribution and offer considerable proof against counterfeiting or forgery. They must be produced in a security-controlled environment.
a. Identification. Eg. ID cards, vehicle licenses, passports. All of these must offer complete protection against counterfeiting.
b. Valued documents. Eg. Exise stamps, revenue stamps (tax), lottery tickets, postage stamps etc.
c. Other important documents. Eg. Registration documents (house or vehicle, election card ,permission,etc.)
